transition

Stepping out of the gym, I found it suprising that the city was showered in bright sunlight. Well, I should not have found it suprising; after all, the Scottish weather had it reputation. Decided to absorb this precious solar energy and made my way to a cafe with vast panel of spotless window. The delicatessen had a huge selection of cheese, hams, tapas, etc., and I found R&IH waiting in the queue to be served. They showed the look of having indulging over-delicious brunch, and IH was holding Green & Black's ice cream in her hands. Planted myself in front of the immaculate window and watched people and traffic flowed, and finished "The Full Cupboard of Life".

I'm at a transition phase of my little life, and soon I'd have to pack up and start a new chapter. The evident interruptions, uncertainities, frustrations thrive. It's just not a pleasant place to be in. Maybe the solution is not to think about it, and let things happen at its due course.

Urh... my laptop is on holiday, and have this feeling that my brain is on strike as well...... The bright side of this misery is that the little micra still moves (just), and I can always go for a drive.

adult 2 : or a chicken without feathers.


adult 1: is she ever going to get up?
adult 2: I definitely shall try this position tonight. Awfully cute indeed.

ice hockey by car...

今年的耶誕假期, 過的有點欲振乏力...
熟識的朋友一個個離開, 邁向下一個旅程,
就連 Kiki 也已經回到溫暖的台北,
我一個人晃啊晃的, 還賴在愛丁堡...
像個離開水域的海星, 緊緊抱著腳下的沙子......

這邊沒下雪, 高地沒下雪,
慕尼黑沒下雪, 紐約沒下雪, 連 Halifax (N.C.) 也沒下雪...
全球暖化這幾個大字又在我腦袋中呼嘯而過一次

不下雪就算了, 竟然還下起雨來......
實在是悶的很......

好在我有先見知明, 買了幾本書和雜誌,
佐上 BBC1 及 BBC2, 藏在溫暖的被窩中墮落個幾天.

對車子實在是沒什麼了解,
衝著 Jeremy Clarkson, 我觀賞了 Top Gear 的年終回顧秀;
撇開對車子的評論不說, 十輛 Suzuki Swift 進行 Ice Hockey 的片段,
相當充滿娛樂效果!!!!!! (連結請點選title)
puck 大小約為車子的1/3 , 犯規還會被送到 sin bin (penalty box)...
看的我都有點躍躍欲試了...

在看 Mrs Henderson Presents 的同時,
吃了"兩盤" 義大利麵/蒜頭/培根/蛋,
現在還撐著一個胖嘟嘟的肚子, 慢慢消化中...
(好像吃的太多了一點......)

還是熱點 mulled wine 來幫助消化好了......

Kiki's diary 26/12/06

Mummy,

Merry Christmas (Boxing Day here now). I think I made Daddy angry this morning. I was up playing most of the night. It was boring though after a while without Daddy to keep me company. Just before 5, I decided to wake Daddy up but he was sleeping very soundly. I think he might have thought that he was dreaming when I tried to wake him. There was a big glass of orange juice on the bedside table. I sort of pushed it over and orange juice went all over Daddy, the bed, and the pillows. It did not seem like such a good idea afterward and I ran out to hide under the Christmas tree.

I was lucky that the glass did not break. It actually bounced off the mattress and landed the right way up on the edge of the bedframe. I have been trying to be nice to Daddy now but he is a little angry. I do not think he will be going back to bed this morning though he looks very tired still. He is not giving me any attention either. I think I am going to find some more mosquitos to play with.
